Air Cmde Rahul Bhasin new AOC of AFS Pune

Pune: Air Commodore Rahul Bhasin took over as Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Lohegaon, Pune with effect from November 12, 2018 from Air Commodore KV Surendran Nair who heads out to Advance Headquarters Western Air Command.

Commissioned into the Fighter Stream of IAF on June 16, 1990, Air Commodore Bhasin is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla. He is a qualified flying instructor and a graduate of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.

“The air officer has rich experience as a course officer in College of Defence Management and has commanded an operational fighter squadron. He was also the chief operations officer of a premier Air Force Station,” a statement reads.

The air officer is married to Wing Commander Neeraj Charak Bhasin, a serving medical officer in IAF.
